Nunney Street Fayre

Nunney Street Fayre 2020 will take place on Saturday 1 August around the moated, 14th century Nunney Castle.

Rated one of the best village fêtes in the country by The Times, Nunney Street Fayre is certainly not to be missed!

Nunney Street Fayre is a unique event which attracts thousands of visitors from across the South West of England and stallholders from across the country. Nunney Community Association (NCA) hosts this annual event, and it is being organised by Jeff Smith and a sub-team of committee members once again this year.

Jeff Smith explained, ‘This year, the team have built upon the changes they made and have also listened to the feedback from traders in 2018 and again in2019, which we hope will improve the overall experience for stall-holders and visitors alike. Online applications will go live in November 2019, giving traders and organisers plenty of time to plan.

As in previous years, there will be plenty of live music, good food and drink, stalls to browse - where visitors can purchase unique items, lots of activities to engage and interest, with a dedicated children’s area especially to keep the younger visitors entertained. We hope we have managed to create a fayre which values and celebrates modern village life, appeals to all ages, tastes and budgets.’

Frances Tyson, Chair of Nunney Community Association, said, ‘Nunney Street Fayre is the biggest fundraiser for our community. The team of volunteers are working extremely hard to make this year's event another great day out for the whole family. The NCA thanks English Heritage and the Walker Family for allowing us to use Nunney Castle as our back-drop.’

Nunney Street Fayre is open from 10.00 until 17.00 on Saturday 1 August 2020.

Parking at Nunney Street Fayre costs £5 per vehicle, which is spent on insurance, music, marketing, licenses and other necessities for putting on an event, and of course all money raised goes to local groups, charities and running events within our village community. Designated disabled parking is available at Nunney Village Hall.
